I had a hard time understanding how he could spend hours in <a href="http://www.amoebamusic.com">Amoeba</a> record store and continue to be fascinated with his long-ass “wish list” of music. I entered the relationship with a shoe box of CD’s, which for the longest time, were kept separate from his collection. Luckily I had <a href="http://www.thethe.com/">The The’s</a> <a href="http://www.popmatters.com/music/reviews/t/thethe-soul.shtml">Soul Mining </a>CD so he thought I had the potential of “being hip”. As I write I am surrounded by 4 full racks of CD’s…only valuable wall space to me. In order to narrow it down, I came up with this crazy idea. I may be cursing it at the end, but for now, it is my Music 101 course. By taking notes and writing on the blog, I hope to better remember artist names and favorite song titles (always a challenge for me). I am forever grateful to Matt, for musically liberating me.
